  8.         GammaCAD is the first affordable CAD (Computer Aided Design)
  9.         program for Windows.  It provides a wide range of functionality
  10.         in an easy to use package.
  11.  
  12.         GammaCAD allows you to create drawings of real world objects in
  13.         two dimensions using their actual measurements.  They can then
  14.         be plotted at any scale you choose on any of the vast number of
  15.         printers and plotters supported by Windows.  The biggest
  16.         advantage of using a computer to create these drawings over
  17.         conventional hand methods is the ease with which a computer
  18.         based drawing can be edited and then replotted at different
  19.         scales.

  21.         CAD is used in many fields including: architecture, cartography,
  22.         electronics and engineering.  It can be used to create house
  23.         plans, maps of all kinds, printed circuit diagrams, and any kind
  24.         of graph, chart, diagram or illustration.

  26.         This program allows you to create drawings using 5 basic drawing
  27.         elements.  These elements are: lines, arcs, circles, points and
  28.         text.  You may enter exact coordinates for these elements, pick
  29.         a position on the display or "snap" to a position on another
  30.         element in the drawing.  For example you can draw a line that
  31.         starts exactly at the end of an existing line.

  33.         Once these basic drawing elements are in your drawing you can
  34.         edit them to your liking.  They can be edited individually or as
  35.         a group.  The elements can be deleted, copied, scaled, rotated
  36.         and their properties can be changed.  These operations can be
  37.         undone.  This allows you to experiment with the drawing.

  39.         Many properties of the drawing elements can be specified.  The
  40.         line type (e.g. solid, dashed, dotted, etc.), line color and
  41.         line width can be specified.  Text properties include: font,
  42.         size, color, angle and justification.  Point type, color and
  43.         size can also be set.

  45.         The drawing can be zoomed and panned to look at different parts
  46.         in more detail.  Zoom functions include: window, extents,
  47.         previous and factor.

  49.         GammaCAD is designed to be powerful and easy to use.  The
  50.         program contains on-line help to get you up and running as
  51.         quickly as possible.  A prompt area is displayed at the bottom
  52.         of the window which instructs you how to perform each command.
  53.         A status area displays pertinent program information at a
  54.         glance.  The program also employs easy to use visual dialog
  55.         boxes.
